James was amazing from the start. We decided to elope last minute instead of having a large wedding as planned and we were definitely worried we couldn’t find anyone in such a short amount of time. But James was perfect! He kept in contact with us prior to answer any questions or concerns I had which definitely eased my mind.

Rev. James brought the perfect energy to our ceremony at Kualoa Ranch. He radiates a genuineness that makes you like him immediately. He has a very kind, calm, and gentle nature to him and that made the ceremony really special. He had a warm smile the entire time, and he delivered a really nice message during our ceremony.

He is very busy (we can see why!) but very reliable, and prompt. We are really glad we went with him as our officiant, I don't think there could have been anyone better suited to guide us through the biggest moment of the entire wedding day!! We had an intimate ceremony on the grounds at the Hilton last week. Although we met Rev James for the first time that day, he immediately made us feel at ease. When Rev James arrived, we were still setting up a tripod to video our ceremony. Without any hesitation, he offered to take some wedding photos of us and even ended up video recording our ceremony for us with his cell!

I did a lot of research on the steps towards getting a marriage license, however, the websites were confusing me. I came across Rev. James' website, and saw a YouTube video simplifying everything that needed to be done to get married in Hawaii. I looked through his reviews, services, and wedding packages and I knew he would be a great fit. I gave him a call and he was able to squeeze our wedding ceremony in 3 weeks from that day.

Rev. James Chun did such a wonderful job with our wedding ceremony. Due to the weather I had to make some last minute changes. I called him 2 days prior to the wedding day and he was more than willing to switch venues. On our wedding day he coached us on what we had to do, and gave us cues on what we were going to do next. His choice of words during the ceremony were beautiful, unique, and had so much meaning behind it, both my husband and I got so emotional lol. Highly recommend him as a wedding officiant!! The day of the wedding he was early and very friendly with all our guests. He even gave my husband some advice before the ceremony began.

We got so many wonderful compliments on our vows and are lei ceremony. The words that James uses for his services are very touching and and eloquent, making are wedding vows not seem so "copy paste" from other weddings.
